The Dial of Ahaz Society

DAS encourages pre-health students to consider the diverse religious and cultural backgrounds of their future patients - backgrounds that directly affect the way these patients view the health care system and their care. We strive to increase our religio-cultural competency though scholarship events, service activities, and social networking. In a field where it is so hard to gain experience until you are a medical student, DAS offers its members a practical introduction to some of the more socio-cultural areas of health care that are often unacknowledged but increasingly important in ensuring quality patient care. We hope to be pioneers in advancing the importance of religio-cultural competency in the future of health care and cultivate leaders in developing innovative, patient-centered care. As our society continues to globalized, we hope you will join us as we explore this up-and-coming area of health care. The Dial of Ahaz Society was founded in honor of Barbara J. Wronski, who passed away from brain cancer on March 17, 2010. Visit our website: http://dialofahaz.weebly.com/
